Ea provides a full range of architect-engineering services for nuclear power plant projects, as shown below
EA was the primary or sole architect-engineering company responsible for the project management, engineering, design, procurement, construction management, pre-operational testing and startup of six 1000 MWe PWR and BWR nuclear units in Spain.
Today, EA provides engineering and support services to all nine nuclear units currently in operation in the country and is participating in activities associated with modernisation, upgrading and repowering in almost every Spanish NPP.
Over the years, EA has carried out or actively taken part in projects involving a variety of reactor types, including light-water reactors of American and European design (BWR, PWR and Russian VVER); heavy-water reactors (PHWR); gas-cooled (GCR) and light water cooled graphite-moderated reactors (LGWR) and advanced light-water reactors (ABWR, SBWR, ESBWR, AP-600 and EPP, SPWR and preparation of EUR documents). More recently, EA has played an active role in developing the Pebble Bed Modular Reactor (PBMR). This has enabled EA to gain extensive knowledge and experience in the majority of available nuclear and non-nuclear technologies and NSSS from different suppliers, which it integrates with a deep understanding of the application of the associated codes, standards and regulatory requirements to provide first-rate services.
