NEW TERMINAL AREA OF MÁLAGA AIRPORT

About This Project

Malaga Airport ranks fourth among Spanish airports as regards traffic, and twenty-second in the European Union. It reached 14,404,170 passengers in 2015 (12,325,874 in international flights).

The significant growth in air traffic in the airport meant that the Master Plan of Malaga Airport included an expansion project for the construction of a New Terminal Area and a new runway (runway 12/30).

The expansion project which saw GHESA’s participation involved the design of a new 320,000 m2 New Terminal Area; 20 Mpax; 9,000 pdh, and other associated buildings and services such as the underground coach station, hot and cold water plant, service gallery, car park building and road access network.
